Administrative Services Supervisor

Workplace: Prescott and Russell Residence
Schedule: 35 hours/week

The incumbent is responsible for developing, writing, implementing, reviewing and coordinating policies and procedures in accordance with the directives of the Ministry for the department in his areas of responsibility. This person may be called upon to implement and direct certain projects.   • University degree in a field related to personnel management, such as human resources, business administration, industrial relations.
  • Have a minimum of three years in personnel management and preferably in a long-term health care facility.
  • Good knowledge of gerontology is an asset.
  • Ability to communicate orally and in writing in French and in English.
  • Good knowledge of the Long-Term Care Homes and Rest Homes Act.
  • Know the basics of the following laws: Workers' Compensation Act, Occupational Health and Safety Act, Human Rights Act.
  • Thorough knowledge of interpreting and administering a multitude of regulations, laws, contractual agreements, policies, directives and collective agreements.
  • Good computer knowledge, including MS Outlook, MS Word, MS Excel.
  • Familiar with Human resources, accounting and work schedule planning software.
  • Ability to set priorities and complete projects without supervision within the required deadlines, in a work environment with a sustained workload.
  • Ability to manage / prioritize several tasks simultaneously.
  • Analytical and planning skills in order to implement programs, identify and solve problems, formulate policies and procedures relating to the programs in question.     
  • Management and administrative skills used in the planning of departmental activities involving professionals, regulated personnel and skilled labor.
  • Ability to analyze, evaluate and solve operational and interpersonal problems.
  • Flexibility and ability to work in a changing environment.
  • Excellent approach to customer service where attention to detail is important.

 

Package

Salary: 55.56-65.00
