Job Description:

The Sr. Buyer, reporting directly to the Director, Category Management, is responsible for driving sales, profit and inventory objectives across multiple categories and channels. Demonstrates strong leadership skills that facilitate innovation and teamwork while supporting a culture of collaboration. Our purpose of helping Canadians Live Life Well will be critical for success in this role.

Accountabilities:

• Financials: Accountable for achieving Omni-channel sales, profit and inventory targets for the assigned category.
• Strategy: Conduct post-season analysis including market share data for developing & executing assortment strategies.
• Negotiations: Develop and maintain relationships with external partners to ensure lowest market costs, late shipping discounts, end of season MD credits, and inventory RTV’s
• Marketing: Drive Go-to-Market strategies developing seasonal plans and executing promotional activities
• Merchandising: Collaborate in setting merchandising direction for different retail formats in efforts to maximize sales productivity while maintaining execution excellence
• Lead: Provide coaching, and direction to the Category Team including feedback and collaboration

Job Qualifications and Requirements:

• 7 years minimum Buying experience required
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, or equivalent
• Proven ability to deliver results including P&L management skills
• Strong Customer Orientation
• Results-driven, strategic thinking and ability to influence others
