This is a Contract position in Midland, ON posted February 2, 2025.

Our client, a leader in the manufacturing industry, is seeking a Millwright to join their team. As a Millwright, you will be part of the maintenance department supporting production operations. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Millwright

Location: Midland, ON

Pay Range: Up to $42.00 per hour

What’s the Job?

  • Ensure mechanical equipment and industrial machinery function properly to allow production to continue efficiently.
  • Read blueprints, diagrams, and schematic drawings to determine work procedures and troubleshoot issues.
  • Install, align, dismantle, and move stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment according to layout plans.
  • Operate hoisting and lifting devices to position machinery and parts during installation and repair.
  • Perform preventative maintenance procedures and accurately log maintenance activities.

What’s Needed?

  • Hold a current trade ticket as an Industrial Mechanic Millwright (433A) or Construction Millwright (426A).
  • Preferred 3-5 years of related experience or fully licensed Journeyman in the trade, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to operate machine tools and perform basic metal fabrication skills.
  • Familiarity with power transmission, vacuum, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Strong communication skills to interact with team members and third-party contractors.
