Come and join the winning team at Mapei. Under the supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor, does the repairs and maintenance of the plant’s equipment.
Responsibilities:
Answers service calls
Does the preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance of the plant’s equipments
Knows how to troubleshoot mechanical and basic electrical problems and finds solutions to solve it and repair them
Performs basic welding and cutting
Knows the operation of electro-mechanical components
Takes charge of one or many projects and to complete them with minimum supervision
Contributes in the improvement of the plant’s equipments’ functioning
Works unsupervised on various work shifts
Sees to the department’s good housekeeping practices and maintains his work areas in good conditions
Computer literacy to work with CMMS
Organizes and maintains stock of spare parts and maintains record for inventory control Makes sure to read and follow daily production schedule and instructions
On a day to day basis, ensures that he meets hygiene, safety and sanitary conditions; complies to health and safety government rules and regulations (with particular attention to article 27(1) and (2) of the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations for Industrial Establishments) as well as environmental ones; that permanent and appropriate corrective measures be taken immediately. Wears required equipment and personal protective equipment
Any other related tasks
High School Degree and 5 years of experience as a Maintenance Mechanic
Millwright license and/or electrician certificate
Knowledge of various mechanical constituents (pneumatic, hydraulic, etc…)
Experience in PLC and computer literacy to work with CMMS
Good mathematics and mechanic skills
Logic abilities such as decision making and problem resolution skills
Coordination and dexterity
Able to work on difference work shifts and overtime if necessary
