Position Summary:
Reporting to the General Manager, the Supply Chain Manager is responsible for finding and maintaining the best sources of supply for our required components, materials and services. In addition, he or she evaluates all aspects of the vendor relationship to ensure total quality, short response time and overall value added while developing strategies to improve the effectiveness of logistics coordination and communication to better serve our internal and external customers. In addition, he/she ensures that all tasks performed are completed in compliance with health and safety rules, laws and regulations, and company policies.
More specifically, he or she will be called upon to:
- Actively participate with the Management Team to improve the overall procurement strategy of Beau- Roc Inc.
- Regularly advise senior management on purchasing, commercial and regulatory risks, industry sector,
- Develop and maintain excellent relationships with our partners and suppliers as well as with our Beau-Roc team
- Ensure the prioritization, planning and delivery of all purchases to meet Beau-Roc’s operational and strategic objectives and reconcile demands when subcontracting
- Effectively drive purchasing performance, providing exemplary customer service to internal and external customers, partners and vendors
- Negotiate with various suppliers for price, quality, timeliness and other factors
- Expedite and liaise with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods
- Write and analyze purchase requisitions for raw materials and other materials and or parts required
- Track and monitor inventory and requirements to determine when to order or purchase new items with our ERP system in place
- Take charge of the complete management of the annual stocktaking: From the coordination of the workforce to the verification of the levels of products in stock in force on the factory floor
- Track budget and expense categories to provide targeted analysis to the Executive Team and monitor market trends

Profile required:
The Supply Chain Manager is a key player in the success of the company and must be able to show initiative and prioritize cooperation, transparency, rigor and respect within a multidisciplinary team in the evaluation and realization of all purchasing activities of the entire company, particularly in its daily activities, such as inventory management and sales and product analysis according to customer needs. Not hesitating to get involved by proposing concrete solutions while being open to consulting and learning from other employees to apply best practices.
- Over 7 years of experience in the field of purchasing, including contract negotiation, administration, extension, termination and renegotiation
- College or University degree in a field relevant to purchasing or supply chain Experience deemed equivalent may be substituted for education
- Bilingualism in French and English, both written and spoken
- Possession of the Supply Chain Management Professional (SCMP) designation is an important asset
- Established relationships with a network of suppliers in the steel and/or stainless steel fabrication industry and in the manufacturing industry an asset
- Experience in developing and implementing a procurement strategy in a manufacturing or industrial environment is an important asset
- Must demonstrate leadership, initiative, high motivation and excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to exercise excellent judgment and escalate issues as needed
- Good knowledge and previous experience in inventory management with ERP software
- Good computer skills (MS Office Suite especially with MS Excel)
- Ability to work safely at all times and a good sense of humor are essential!
