We have an exciting opportunity for someone to join our team in a Pipe Welder/Fitter role on our day shift. We are a specialized weld shop who deals with high grade material looking for someone high grade to join our team and grow.

About the Position:
We are looking for a Pipe Welder/Fitter to fit and weld piping systems with high precision. The Pipe Welder’s responsibilities include inspecting materials, maintaining tools, performing pre-welding preparations, welding components according to specifications and diligently following safety regulations. You should also be prepared to work in cramped places.
To be successful as a Pipe Welder/Fitter you should be able to study schematics and devise welding plans. A top Pipe Welder/Fitter should work with great attention to detail and must be able to deliver a consistent and smooth weld.
Hours of Work: 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM (Monday – Thursday) 40 Hours Per Week
What will you be doing:
- Reading and interpreting blueprints and schematics.
- Determining the required tools, materials and welding methods.
- Assembling, installing and repairing pipe components and systems according to specifications.
- Inspecting materials, equipment, and tools.
- Maintaining supplies, equipment, and tools.
- Preparing working materials by clamping, cutting or bevelling piping.
- Examining completed welds to ensure they are free of defects, smooth, and functional.
- Occasional use of overhead cranes, forklift, ladders, and other equipment
- Perform other duties as required.
- Observing safety regulations.
What you bring to Cambridge Pro Fab Inc.
- 3-5 years’ Experience as a Pipe Welder.
- Ability to troubleshoot and strong attention to detail.
- Excellent technical skills and the ability to interpret schematics.
- Good communication skills.
- Working knowledge of CWB, AWS, ANSI, API and ASME B31.1 and B31.3 codes and standards
- Strong background in pipe welding processes and inspection
- Knowledge and experience with beveling equipment, threaders, and saws
- Proven time management skills and strong attention to detail
- Works well under pressure.
- Physical dexterity.

- Accountable and able to work in a team or with minimum supervision.
- Effective communication skills (both written & verbal).
