Remuneration Service Officer

The incumbent provides asdministrative and clerical support to the Remuneration Service. The incumbent prepares the payroll in the Kronos time software for employee groups belonging to S.C.F.P. local 3025 (3025) and AIIO local 042 (AIIO) of the Prescott and Russell Residence. She ensures complete payroll processing in the MX Smart Payer software. She assumes several other tasks in her daily duties.

• Must have a two-year college diploma in Administration, Human Resources or any other related or relevant field;
• Must complete (by correspondence) the Payroll Compliance Legislation course offered by the Canadian Payroll Association;
• Have a minimum of two years of experience in payroll (unionized environment is an asset);
• Good knowledge in manual and computerized payroll processing;
• Good knowledge of payroll accounting;
• Thorough knowledge of spreadsheets (Microsoft Excel);
• Having completed the “Payroll Compliance Legislation” course with the NPI is an asset;
• General knowledge of word processing (Word) and presentation (Power Point);
• Ability to communicate easily in French and English (orally and in writing).
• Good knowledge of current collective agreements, the pension plan, group insurance policies and the various legislation and Council regulations relating to employees;
