What is the Opportunity?
Since 1967, we have proudly served Ontarios nuclear industry. Aecon Nuclear aims to be the partner-of-choice for key nuclear clients and our dedication to excellence is leading us there. Aecon Nuclear provides a full spectrum of Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) services, in addition to maintenance and manufacturing services tailored to meet the demanding requirements of the nuclear power industry.

The Joint Venture of SNC Lavalin Nuclear and Aecon was formed in 2013 to support the 12.8 Billion-dollar Darlington refurbishment. The Joint Venture was rebranded under a single unified name CanAtom in 2018. The goal of CanAtom is to strengthen our project delivery and ensure we are functionally aligned as a single and cohesive EPC team. The joint venture was awarded a contract with Ontario Power Generation (OPG) to carry out multiple projects at the Darlington Nuclear Generating Station, including a Retube and Feeder Replacement (RFR) project, a Turbine Generator Refurbishment (TGR) project and an Extended Services Master Services Agreement (ESMSA) with Ontario Power Generation (OPG) for projects at both the Pickering & Darlington Nuclear Generating Stations.

The Onboarding & Training Team is looking for the right person to join their team as a Onboarding & Training Administrator. This role will be responsible for assisting both the Onboarding Training in the day to day preparation and handling of training material and records.

What You'll Do Here:

  • Daily preparation of attendance sheets and preparation of new hire onboarding packages
  • Handle the collection of completed training records and ensure proper scanning and storage per procedures
  • Ensure training material, documents and completion records are stored securely and are retrievable from Onboarding & Series Training shared project folder.
  • Maintain an accurate list of CanAtom training folders on the Shared Drive; ensure all training documentation is the most current revision; and is uploaded and stored electronically.
  • Maintenance of internal forms and revision control to all training documentation
  • Use of project learning management system to validate qualification status and provide supporting reports
  • Schedule classroom training events, book rooms and maintain supply of training consumables
  • Audit and monitor data integrity of qualifications, users and curricula within the LMS, policies, and procedures.
  • Maintain electronic filing system for training material
  • Work with Training Coordinators, Trainers and Training Supervisor to understand training demand
  • Administrative duties for the training department as assigned.


What You Bring to the Team:

  • Work experience or post secondary learning in Business Administration, Human Resources, Business Management or related program.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Must be detail oriented with the ability to multi-task on a regular basis.
  • Must have a strong customer service orientation.
  • Ability to prioritize and coordinate with associated department.
  • Must have advanced computer skills to perform duties including experience with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • HRIS or Learning Management System experience an asset
  • Must be able to communicate clearly and concisely to all levels of the organization.
