Project Manager – Bowmanville/King Liberty Corridors (Supporting the GO Expansion Program)

  • Support the Corridor Lead in leading a major multi-disciplinary team of engineering managers, project managers, and deputy project managers, including other specialists as the rise occurs

  • Manage and oversee the entirety of projects valued between $300 – 400 million, ensuring successful initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closure

  • Safety leader across all project delivery works

  • A proactive approach to engaging with the various Project Delivery Teams (PDTs)

  • Must understand key performance indicator monitoring and engagement, directly linked to monthly measurement criteria established

  • Must understand resource management, interface, and constraints management

  • Able to manage activities with significant uncertainty of solution or outcome

  • Must be capable of supporting the Project Controls Centre and team to maintain up-to-date metrics on performance across the entire program

  • Recommends and initiates change to project delivery plans, and identifies areas of improvement to put forward to relevant areas in business and operating processes

  • Interacts with clients and other stakeholders to ensure that objectives are being met

  • Manages external relationships important for project delivery (e.g., statutory authorities)

  • Builds and maintains networks with peer project teams and other disciplines

  • Supports the development and delivery of implementation plans, establishing commercially beneficial delivery models and leading on innovation and best practice

  • Supports leadership and direction in the Construction and Project Delivery team, delivers timely feedback to ensure a cohesive operational unit and the optimum use of team skills

  • Lead by example to inspire the team within the program team

  • Monitors work assignments for adherence to timelines and compliance with policies and processes

  • Develop and implement action plans to address performance gaps

  • Leads high-performing, multi-disciplined teams

  • The ability to lead, engage, motivate, and coach others. To act as a role model and inspire and empower others

  • Support negotiations with third parties

  • Articulate a delivery vision and common culture

  • Create the environment for the successful implementation of processes

  • Creating and delivering persuasive and engaging presentations to a wide range of audiences in our industry

  • Leads and strategizes collaboration model internally and externally

  • Manages client relationships effectively
