Industrial Electrician

Our client, North America’s leading maker of salads and fresh food products, is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join their team. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be part of the operations team supporting the maintenance of essential machinery and equipment. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Maintenance Technician (Licensed Industrial Electrician 442A)

Location: Concord, ON

Pay Range: $42 to $44 per hour

What’s the Job?

• Modify, repair, install, maintain, improve, and troubleshoot various types of machinery, equipment, and facilities in the processing & packaging departments.
• Perform troubleshooting and preventive maintenance of conveyors, vibratory shakers, pumps, hoists, HVAC equipment, and other food processing machinery.
• Conduct troubleshooting and preventive maintenance of packaging equipment such as VFFS baggers, multi-head scales, labelers, metal detectors, check weighers, and tray sealing machinery.
• Read equipment manuals, blueprints, diagrams, and schematic drawings to assist in machinery maintenance.
• Inspect and examine machinery and equipment to detect and investigate irregularities and malfunctions.

What’s Needed?

• Minimum of 3 – 5 years industrial maintenance experience, preferably in the food industry.
• Industrial Electrician Certificate (442A) mandatory.
• Experience in packaging machinery maintenance (tray sealers, VFFS baggers, labelers, metal detectors, etc.).
• Completion of secondary school.
• Refrigeration Class B operator certificate or millwright license desirable but not mandatory.
