Vice President, Delivery Services, Rail & Transit

This is a Contract position in Toronto, ON posted March 19, 2025.

  • (Internal Title- Vice President)
    • Reporting directly to the I&CP Canada EVP, Rail & Transit:
    • Manage performance of I&CP Canada delivery partner contracts
    • Support Transit EVP with ad hoc assignments
    • Manage on behalf of the EVP, I&CP Canada Rail & Transit P&L profile, budgeting, forecasting, resource planning for delivery partner contracts and assignments.
    • Share vast business line experience and expertise with team members, clients, and peers.
    • Business development and growth responsibility to support transit opportunities across designated geographies (in Canada).
    • Prepare and deliver Accenture I&CP townhalls to I&CP employees embedded in delivery partner projects
    • Continually enhance domain knowledge and skills to keep abreast of industry developments.
    • Maintain and nurture strong relationships with existing clients, and support the development of new client relationships to identify and secure growth opportunities
    • Work with employees, business partners, and clients to define requirements, plan, establish, and assign tasks, objectives, and priorities accordingly
    • Anticipate client issues, and current and future needs, develop and align innovative and effective solutions to complex problems
    • Establish and direct commercial partnerships and contracts within the business line, and resolve contract and commercial issues
    • Define processes and procedures to be followed by self, own team, and integrated teams related to domain area of expertise
    • Develop succession plan with high potential employees to mitigate business continuity risk
    • Train team members and others in the organization on their roles and the projects
    • Analyze data and information to manage and reduce risk
    • Set delivery and quality objectives for the team in support of client requirements
    • Ensure quality and accuracy control measures are in place and followed
    • Oversee multiple large teams of professional employees and managers including hiring and termination decisions, participating in onboarding, performance management, learning and development, assigning objectives and metrics, etc
    • Responsible for information, reports and dashboard for overall health of assigned contracts.
    • Assess current and anticipated future resource needs to ensure employees are appropriately selected, developed, utilized, appraised, and rewarded
    • Define and assign tasks to appropriate team members, managers, and leads to achieve project/team objectives, and provide guidance and direction as required
    • Conduct regular check-ins with employees to ensure they have the tools, knowledge, and guidance to succeed in their roles
    • Develop strong relationships with peers and other levels of management within and across business lines and shared services
    • Manage the cascade, rollout, and ongoing reinforcement of company-wide initiatives and communications within the team, ensuring team members and work are aligned with our corporate strategic plan
    • Find innovative solutions for complex client and company problems
    • Promote a positive, collaborative, and inclusive environment per core values and leadership competencies
    • Hold regular team meetings and events to engage the team and solicit their ideas, promote comradery within the team and the organization
    • Select the right team members to execute client deliverables based on knowledge and skill, while balancing the workload across the team
    • Develop strong relationships with peers and other levels of management within the business line and shared services
    • Lead the growth of the company in the business line while supporting cross-sector business line growth and initiatives
    • Establish detailed strategies, business plans, and budgets for business line growth and expansion, taking a long-term view while translating ideas into short and medium-term actions
    • Support client engagements by establishing pricing, commercial and risk analysis, and supporting the proposals and finance teams
    • Manage the cascade, rollout, ongoing reinforcement, and compliance of company-wide initiatives and communications within the team, ensuring team members and work are aligned with our corporate strategic plan
    • Act as an organizational change agent
    • Attract and mentor talent to join the I&CP Canada organization
    • Create strategies and plans to meet company goals and help implement these strategies across programs (i.e. geographic expansion, organizational change management, performance management, employee engagement and retention, business development, external partnerships, marketing and branding, etc.)
    • Anticipate threats and opportunities and identify and manage business line/project/client risks, developing and executing mitigation plans and escalating as appropriate
    • Participate in budget development and approval of expenses to plan
    • Meet objectives and KPI targets as applicable

    • Flexible: The work location for this role will include a mix of working in different locations and offices, onsite at a client or in an Accenture office or center. In-office based on client and project requirements

    • Office-based, with occasional visits to field sites
