Job Description
Perform drilling work and install primary, secondary, or specialized ground support using specialized drilling equipment
Check records
Scale the work area before starting the shift
Position the drill according to plans
Install/repair underground services (air, water, pumping)
Install ground support using a Maclean bolter
Read and interpret plans and specifications
Handle drill rods
Handle ground support equipment (bolts, wire mesh, etc.)
Inspect machinery at the end of the shift
