Job Description

• Perform drilling work and install primary, secondary, or specialized ground support using specialized drilling equipment

• Check records

• Scale the work area before starting the shift

• Position the drill according to plans

• Install/repair underground services (air, water, pumping)

• Install ground support using a Maclean bolter

• Read and interpret plans and specifications

• Handle drill rods

• Handle ground support equipment (bolts, wire mesh, etc.)

• Inspect machinery at the end of the shift

Job Requirement

• Completion of a recognized mining training program or equivalent work experience in underground mining
• Possession of Common Core certification
