Regular full-time position (non-unionized)
Workplace: Prescott and Russell Residence
Schedule: 12 h on day/evening rotation (one weekend out of two)
The candidate must have knowledge/experience in health care

The Administrative Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily activities of staff in all departments on a rotating shift schedule. He/she manages and administers the ongoing operations of all areas of the residence on a rotating shift schedule, emphasizing timely and competent delivery of service to the resident. This position is also responsible for replacing last-minute unfilled shifts.

  • Must have a university degree in a field related to personnel management, such as human resources, business administration, industrial relations.
  • A minimum of three years' experience in managing unionized personnel, preferably in a long-term care facility.
  • Good knowledge of gerontology and nursing would be an asset.
  • Ability to communicate easily in French and English (oral and written).
  • Good knowledge of the following legislation: Workers' Compensation Act, Occupational Health and Safety Act, Human Rights Act.
  • Excellent knowledge of how to interpret and administer a multitude of regulations, laws, contractual agreements, policies, directives and collective agreements.
  • Excellent knowledge of the Long-Term Care Adjustment Act, 2021 and related regulations.
  • Good computer skills, Windows, MS Outlook, MS Word, MS Excel.
  • Familiar with human resources, accounting and scheduling software.
